Slavery
I might have missed the Monday to the discussion that I had picked up on that following Thursday which was what do we consider slavery to actually be? Because here in the U.S. it was determined to be based on color of the skin as where in other places slaves were able to obtain property and be educated. Now for a slave to be able to reach a maximum position within the Harem is a respectful to the person and there family. Eventually just to be able to stay there and live within those walls is something completely an experience for the person and the family. Slavery should not be based on color or even race, I even believe that there should not have even been slaves in that case.

Week 7
The comparison between present day reform in the U.S. government to the reform at the end of the 18th century brings about many points example to one was about the taxes on cars just for the benefits of the car manufactures in U.S. just because they feel a treat into there commercial areas. With every intend that is pertain towards the lower class there will always be an uproar that will be the upper class, like a domino effect. Another thing that I found interesting is the clash of old ideas that to me I can relate really easily because in most Latin American countries you will eventually find to happen the young that re-bolt the old and vice versa which to me that is one thing that maintains the country or states because in the end there is somewhat a mutual agreement so for both parties to be content with. Personally I do find that where ever it is that you are at the poor are always the ones affected, the government gives them one thing to be content with then just around the corner theirs a deal to this, that the happiness is withdrawn from there faces such as to what the Ottoman Empire was doing to them they granted the land to be under the names of the slaves but raised a high tax on the property and what do you know the slaves weren't able to pay the debt back to the government and in turn the property became apart of the government.
One thing that I have never understood was that, ok, you give cotton plant fields for other's to manufacture them and then you complain about the taxes on them and I just not only say it for Egypt back then I also state it for the U.S. and other countries that prefer the labor to be done by other's but of course there is a sells tax on the items.

To Die In jerusalem
This documentary brings out many points towards the feelings and the events that took place after the suicide booming that took place. The the boomer Ayat Al- Akhar (Palestine) I had gone into a supermarket in Jerusalem where in the entrance of the store the bomb exploded, along side to her Rachel Levy (Israeli) died. Amazingly both of them have features that seem the same.
What had surprised me was the reactions of both mothers especially the mother of Ayat the way that she finds that there is nothing in her power that she can do and yet finds what her daughter had done wrong but in a way is an oxymoron when said that she wants everything that she can't obtain now before she would ever do anything therefore you are technically supporting what your own daughter did be right. I agree with Rachel's mother that there are other ways to be heard if they were to unite forces because not all of us in this world may think in a certain way, therefore to actually know if it is able to be done whatever it is that they would like to occur, they should try without that only maybe would be, what good could that be?
Another note that I took was the part of the girl would is imprisoned because she joined the cause of the martyrdom mission. What shocks me is the reaction how she tells Rachel's mother that she see the pain as a mother who lost a child but at the same time she deserves to feel that pain. To me I just don't find the connection that what was done to you should be paid to another person that has nothing to do with the problem should be done the same or worst situation. For me if it was my daughter in the position if I was the mother of Ayat I would have taken the offer of Rachel's mother of uniting together and let everyone understand yes we are different nations were both our nations are in a conflict but I would want to do state something, make a voice to be heard but at least I did something to fight against the odds.
